Who is our travel host company?

Every Independent Travel Agent must have a sponsor. Our travel host company is InteleTravel, which is the largest home-based travel agency worldwide. It’s been in the United States for over 30 years, and also supports independent travel agents in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Ireland, and soon-to-be Canada.

How do I learn to be a travel agent?

Once you join, you will have free access to a full online training program through InteleTravel, which is accessible 24/7 as long as you have a WiFi connection. This means you can study whenever and wherever it works for you. Plus, you will have an incredible network of other Independent Travel Agents for support (including all the awesome people already on the 5678andTravel team as well as the massive international U.K. team we work with). You won’t be doing this alone!

What is the time commitment?

You get out of this program, what you put into it. We have streamlined the initial process to get you started such that you could be booking basic travel within a few days. However, the travel industry is huge and there are opportunities to learn for a lifetime. If you join purely to save money on your own travel, the commitment is minimal. If you want to create a full-fledged franchise that serves clients, you’ll need to invest more time learning about the more than 75+ suppliers through whom you can book travel. Just know that many of the company’s top agents manage to do this while they have other full-time careers going simultaneously.

How much does it cost?

An initial investment of $179.95 is required when you enroll to get your IATA license (the travel agent credentials you must have to legally book and sell travel). A month later you begin paying a $39.95 monthly subscription which covers the customer service team, your own personal online travel booking portal, access to 75+ travel suppliers/preferred partners, and extensive ongoing training/support. There is a 30-day money back guarantee if you decide it’s not for you, and you can quit any time after that with no penalty (i.e. there are no contracts).

What kind of money can I make?

You can earn between 8-20% in commissions on your bookings for things like hotel stays, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages, activities, airport parking, and even show/concert tickets! There is an additional travel affiliate opportunity in which you may also choose to participate that can further boost your earnings, but it’s entirely optional and is effectuated through a separate company.

Are you required to sell a certain amount or make quotas?

No! That’s the great thing about this. There is no minimum sales requirement. You can hustle when you need to make more money, pull back when you’re busy. Or just book your own travel (and maybe some trips for family and friends) while earning back the commissions for yourself. Isn’t that better than letting those funds go to some nameless automated travel engine? It’s entirely up to you, but we think it rocks getting commission on things we’d be booking anyway.

Do I have to be an artist to join you?

Absolutely not! This program is for anyone who likes to travel. But if you like being around creatives who have spent a great deal of time on the road, and are also really entertaining (if we do say so ourselves), this is the best possible team to be on. But remember, you are just joining through this collective. You are free to create your own travel agency name and business. We’re just here to help you get started and support you on your independent travel agent journey.
